Fraser completed a Law degree in 2009 and shortly thereafter undertook the national NHS Graduate Management Scheme.  Since completing the graduate scheme Fraser has undertaken a number of acute operational management roles in NHS Lothian, NHS Lanarkshire and NHS Ayrshire & Arran. Laterally Fraser was the General Manager at NHS Ayrshire & Arran and led the surgical response to Covid at University Hospital Crosshouse before taking on responsibility for surgical services at University Hospital Ayr too.

Fraser is now Programme Director for the National Chief Executive and Chairs groups and works on behalf of all 22 Health Boards to develop and progress strategic priorities alongside colleagues in Scottish Government.

Fraser applied to be a trustee at the Ayrshire Hospice to make a difference to the holistic experience of hospice patients and their wider families and to continue his recent connection to Ayrshire, having worked there for 6 years. Fraser is particularly enthusiastic about the opportunity provided to patients, staff and wider local population arising from the new hospice build and wishes to contribute as much as he can to this.

Fraser lives in Glasgow with his wife and two young children and when time allows enjoys playing golf, reading and cooking.
