Born and brought up in Ayrshire, Andrew has always been aware of the remarkable work done by the hospice.

Following the death of his father-in-law within the hospice a few years ago, he was inspired to give something back to the organisation that provided exceptional care not only for him but for all the family during a very difficult time. The staff went over and above to make his end-of-life care very peacefully and he hopes to go over and above for the them and the hospice.

He currently works as Depute Programme Director of Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board providing strong leadership for a team of project managers as well as providing strategic leadership on a number of boards and groups, both a board level and national level.

Andrew lives in Coylton with his wife and son and out of work enjoys eating out, holidaying and plenty of bowling.
