David was delighted to be invited to join the Board of Directors in 2014, having observed the excellent reputation and high quality of services delivered by the Ayrshire Hospice over many years,

David graduated from the University of Glasgow with a Master of Arts (Honours) Degree in 1984 then went on to undertake and complete a PhD over the following three years. He then worked with two of Scotland’s leading research consultancies before setting up his own company in 1996.

The focus of David's research and consultancy experience is within the Public Sector, including studies undertaken for organisations within the healthcare sector in Scotland (such as Health Boards and the Scottish Ambulance Service) and organisations elsewhere in the Public Sector (such as Scottish Enterprise, Scottish Development International, the Scottish Qualifications Authority, Education Scotland, Scottish Natural Heritage, the Scottish Social Services Council and Local Authorities across Scotland).

David hopes that his skills, experience and enthusiasm will allow him to make an effective contribution to the further development and success of the hospice in what will be both an interesting and challenging period.
