Tracy Flynn, Director of Patient and Family Services is pleased to announce that from 1st December, we look forward to welcoming the Christmas season at the Ayrshire Hospice for our patients and families with extended visiting hours. This festive season the rules for visiting a family member or friend in our In-Patient Unit is as follows: 4 named visitors for the duration of a patients’ stay that must remain the same four people. A maximum of 2 visitors per patient at one time. We have set up a Lateral Flow Test (LFT) station in the foyer - we encourage you to utilise this on arrival if you have not tested at home. We prefer if you do not visit for more than 2 hours at a time to allow us to promote rest. However, visitors can attend as many times during the day (10am – 8pm) as they feel necessary. If your loved one is approaching end of life you will be guided by our experienced nursing team in regards to visiting, where special arrangements will be made. Any further guidance and support around visiting will be provided by our teams.
