Occupational therapy can be an important part of hospice care, helping patients to remain as independent as possible, for as long as possible.

The Occupational Therapy team look at what is preventing patients from doing the daily activities they need and want to do. The team help to address these barriers by providing advice on how to manage fatigue, anxiety, or improve memory and attention and self-esteem. Additionally, they can discuss equipment that could better help patients to safely manage everyday tasks.
