To enable our home at Racecourse Road, Ayr to be developed, the Ayrshire Hospice will temporarily decant all services for the duration of the construction period.

Thanks to our partnership with NHS Ayrshire and Arran, our In-Patient Unit and associated ancillary functions will relocate to East Ayrshire Community Hospital, Cumnock.

Community Services will have an administrative base in Lochranza Ward at Ailsa Hospital, Ayr and continue to develop community outreach and virtual services.

The Hospice will continue to provide the excellent specialist palliative care for the population of Ayrshire and Arran for which we have become known over the last 30 years, albeit in a slightly different way.

During our relocation, referral to the Hospice will continue to be made by healthcare professionals such as GPs, district nurses, hospital consultants and specialist nurses. If you feel that you, or a loved one, would benefit from specialist palliative care which the Hospice provides, this should be discussed with a member of your health care team. They will be able to advise you as to whether this is the right option at this time.

Non-clinical departments of the Hospice will continue to be based at 29 Miller Road, Ayr during the entire decant period.
