Why join the Ayrshire Hospice Lottery?
Your money enables the hospice to care for local patients and families. It costs around £10.2 million per year to run all hospice services and the money raised from every ticket you purchase really makes a difference.
Whether it’s eating a favourite food, seeing a beloved pet or enabling a patient to marry the love of their life, our specialist team are dedicated to making today matter. You may be remembering a loved one right now and would like to pay tribute to them in a thoughtful way. You can play in their memory, while supporting and helping others.
How does it work?
When you join our lottery your details are entered into our lottery system and your unique number will be entered into our Friday draw. You will continue to be entered into each draw for as long as you remain a member and if you are a lucky winner the cheque will be sent to you by post.
You can join for just £5 per month. That £5 includes an entry to each Friday draw that takes place in the month. If you wish you can pay more to have multiple entries each week.
What prizes could I win?
Every Friday members have a chance to win one of 72 prizes from the guaranteed weekly prize fund.

Where does my money go?
In 2025, £813,213 was raised from ticket sales in our weekly lottery and our seasonal Super Draw. From this total 11.70% was spent on prizes, 20.71% was spent on expenses and 67.59% was used to provide care for people with life limiting illness across Ayrshire – this translated to a fantastic £549,667.19!*
Examples of how lottery income could help support care and services across the hospice include:
- £6 could help towards the provision of tasty and nutritious meals for patients in our In-Patient Unit, where enjoying good food can become an important moment in someone’s day.
- £15 could contribute towards complementary therapy and wellbeing support for patients or carers, helping create moments of relaxation and comfort.
- £105 could help support bereavement services for families coping with the loss of a loved one, ensuring nobody has to face grief alone.
- £250 could contribute towards the delivery of specialist nursing care within our In-Patient Unit, supporting patients and families when they need it most.
