Congratulations, Forrest, our calendar competition winner!

“Ness Glen” at Loch Doon taken by Ayr resident Forrest Weir was voted the winner of the Ayrshire Hospice Calendar Competition 2026.

Forrest’s image impressed the three-person judging panel to make the final 12 and was then voted as the overall winner by Ayrshire Hospice Living Well Hub patients who overwhelmingly selected his image.

A happy Forrest said: “I was delighted to learn that my photograph had won the competition. It was lovely surprise and very nice to know it was voted by patients of the Hospice.”

As well as having his image included in the 2026 calendar, it will also be the front cover of the calendar and he wind a £150 gift voucher from competition sponsor Vennal Cameras in Ayr.

The calendar is expected to be on sale from late September and can be purchased in Ayrshire Hospice shops and in Gargowan Gifts inside the Ayrshire Hospice. Details of next year’s calendar competition will be made available soon on our website and our social media channels.
