My dear Sister Elrose died in the Hospice on Monday, 8th July, 2019. She was a loving Wife to George, dearly loved Mum to Euan and Niall, a much loved Gran to Robyn, Heather, Evie, Lachlan and Isla and a dear Mother in law to Kate and Fiona. We as a family will never forget the outstanding care and attention given to Elrose and us by all the Doctors, Nurses, Auxiliaries and Volunteers during the five weeks she was a patient, she wanted to go into the Hospice and felt safe and very happy in it. Elrose was loved by all who knew her. She was a very talented lady, who was always busy with her card making, quilting, curtain making and baking. She was very involved in the church, volunteered in the Cancer Care shop and a a steward at Portencross castle. Her family were very imported to her and just loved being with her grandchildren. Elrose was not just my "Big Sister" she was my best friend. She had such a beautiful smiley face and is missed dearly by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
