Yvonne’s story

“During my stay in the IPU I was offered the opportunity to try some painting with George. When I met George, he was so kind and friendly and immediately put me at ease. He told me our first painting would be a landscape that required only the primary colours. I told him that there was no chance I could paint something like that, I was not an artist!

However, I was soon proven wrong as George talked me through the whole process and the finished product was a beautiful landscape picture that my husband refused to believe I had painted!

This experience was relaxing and very special to me. I enjoyed it so much George offered to return the next day for another session. An experience out with my comfort zone proved to be such a lovely wholesome experience I will never forget.

I am beyond grateful for all the staff within the hospice. They make tough times that bit easier.”
