School resources

The family care team at the Ayrshire Hospice offers support services to children, young people and teachers alike. Our schools and community worker builds relationships with schools to help them become more confident in talking about death, dying and bereavement.

We aim to widen access to support for children and young people who will all one day, be affected by bereavement and know that by having open conversations we can equip children and young people with the coping skills they will need in the future. Furthering relationships with the school community and providing a safe place for children and young people to speak with informed and confident adults, will provide better outcomes all round.

These resources can be used in a one to one format or a class room format where appropriate.
