Kai leads the way

We are delighted to announce that the world famous dog “Kai” will be returning to Ayrshire on Sunday 14th June
to lead our annual Waggy Tail Walk! After hitting global headlines in January of this year when he was abandoned with his suitcase at Ayr Railway Station, Kai has settled in well with his new owner Ian Russell and is delighted to be lending his support to this year’s walk.

Get along to this fun filled, family-friendly, sponsored doggy walk - you’d be barking mad to
miss it! There is no registration fee but we would be grateful if each family could raise a minimum sponsorship

On a recent visit to the hospice with Kai, Ian said “We are delighted to have been asked to help support the Ayrshire Hospice and it
is very fitting that the event we support is the Waggy
Tail Walk! Kai is very excited to come back to Ayr to take part in what I’m sure will be a great event”.
So if you want to make sure Kai gets a warm Ayrshire welcome on Sunday 14th June, sign up to our Waggy Tail Walk now! There’s two different three mile routes to choose from - one along the banks of the River Ayr, starting from Ayr College Car Park and the other within Eglinton Country Park, Kilwinning. And don’t
worry, Kai will be making
an appearance at both
parks! VIP’s (Very Important Pooches) are invited to be sponsored and come along with their owners to take part in the walk to raise money for the hospice. You can join either walk anytime between 10am - 12 noon and there will be treats for everyone along the way and a goody bag for the VIP’s at the end.
