The Ayrshire Hospice’s annual Go Purple Day is back and this year the challenge is simple… TURN AYRSHIRE PURPLE!

The call to the Ayrshire community is to help the Ayrshire Hospice make it even bigger and better than last year! On Friday 13th October Ayrshire schools, businesses and community groups will come together to wear, eat and even gunge PURPLE!

Have a purple dress-up day, hold a raffle and host a quiz; get creative or keep it simple the choice is yours! Tailor the day to suit your staff, business and resources, we can’t wait to see Ayrshire Go Purple! To get involved sign up for your free fundraising pack, check out some ideas and top tips via our website

Remember every pound you raise will provide care and support to patients and their families with life-limiting illnesses across Ayrshire & Arran. You'll also be helping 'Build the Future' by creating an Ayrshire Hospice fit for future generations.

Claire Stuart-Paulin, Senior Fundraiser, said: “We are so excited to see what our wonderful supporters will come up with for Go Purple 2023!  We’ve had lots of sign-ups already, some are organising raffles, bake sales and fancy-dress days in their offices.

“Many of our local schools are having dress-down days which the students love and local shops are offering gift-wrapping services with all proceeds being donated. We have even been informed one of our supporters is organising a gunge the boss, who wouldn’t love that opportunity!

“Go Purple is such a fun day, it brings the whole of Ayrshire together and it’s growing and growing every year which is amazing.”

Laura Hays, Director at Thistle Help: “We have been getting involved in Go Purple since 2018, which started off with the staff getting gunged that year and the following year. Last year we held a coffee morning and raised a fantastic amount of money for Ayrshire Hospice.

“We are planning another coffee morning for this year’s event as it was a great way of bringing people together and supporting a fantastic organisation. We love participating in Go Purple as Ayrshire Hospice is a charity close to our hearts having lost parents to cancer in 2018. The work that Ayrshire Hospice does is wonderful and we want to support them in any way we can. It is great seeing the

Go Purple team visited us on the day and our team love getting involved. We are looking forward to opening our doors on Friday 13th October again to all our lovely customers, family and friends.”
