We care about your opinion

We are delighted to announce that we have joined forces with Care Opinion to become the first hospice in Scotland to encourage comments and feedback via www.careopinion.org.uk

A public-facing website where you can anonymously share your good or bad experiences of the Ayrshire Hospice, (and other local health and social care services) Care Opinion is run by the independent, not for profit organisation, Patient Opinion whose sole aim is to get patient and carer voices right to the heart of health and care services.

“I like the friendliness at the day centre, everyone is very helpful. I like the spirit, people here are never defeated, if something doesn’t work they try something else. Everything is perfect the way it is, I wouldn’t change a thing”.

The stories and experiences you share are published on the website for everyone to see alongside our online response and are a great way for us to find out what you think of the hospice, your experience of the care we provide and how we might improve. It also gives our regulators and partners direct access to the views and comments of our patients and carers too.

“I was watching the nurses earlier working with a lady in my room and everything was done so lovingly and patiently - it was like a friend doing something for another friend”.

Gina Alexander, Director, Patient Opinion Scotland said: “We are thrilled to be working closely with the Ayrshire Hospice, (our first hospice partnership in Scotland) who are so obviously enthusiastic about hearing the experiences and views of people who access their support, so that they can continue to make their services even better.”

Why not visit www.careopinion.org.uk and let us know what you think?
