We are delighted to announce that the hospice Volunteer Friendly accreditation has been renewed for another 3 years. The Volunteer Friendly Award is a quality standard designed to support, recognise and reward organisations that are good at involving and managing volunteers. To achieve this accreditation the hospice is measured under five strands which include commitment to involving volunteers, allocation of resources to volunteer management, fair and equal volunteering, training and supporting the needs of individuals and celebrating volunteers’ contributions.

Karen Donnelly, Head of Organisational and People Development said: “We have fabulous volunteers who give up their time to support the hospice. Through their hard work and dedication, the hospice can continue to provide exceptional services to patients, families and carers across Ayrshire. This award recognises our ongoing commitment to offering volunteers enjoyable and rewarding roles, where by working together, we can really make today matter for those who use our services”.
