Thirteen Tesco stores across Ayrshire have recently joined forces to support the Ayrshire Hospice.  As part of a dedicated fundraising drive, the Tesco store managers and community champions across Ayrshire will be fundraising in aid of the hospice with a series of planned activities in their local stores including supporting “Go Purple” on Friday 13th October.  Around 2,000 people are employed by Tesco in Ayrshire and the supermarket chain is determined to make a positive impact in their local community for a charity that many members of staff have had personal experience of.

Russell Houston, Store Manager at Tesco Extra Irvine said “The Ayrshire Hospice is a charity that’s close to everyone’s hearts.  We’re delighted to join together as a team across Ayrshire to try and make a meaningful difference to this excellent local charity.  We’d also encourage people across Ayrshire to get involved and ‘Go Purple’ in aid of the Ayrshire Hospice on Friday 13th October.”

Ron Swanson, Assistant Fundraising Manager at the Ayrshire Hospice said “We’re absolutely delighted and honoured to have Tesco stores across Ayrshire fundraising in aid of the Ayrshire Hospice. We recognise that there are so many fantastic charities out there and we’re over the moon that Tesco has chosen to support us in such a meaningful way.  A sincere ‘thank you’ to every member of Tesco staff across Ayrshire for making today matter.”
