Relaxation CD

Relaxation CD

Posted on 18 July 2017 by Monika Reichelt

We were delighted when Connor Hull and Robin Woods popped in to the hospice recently to deliver the first press of our new Relaxation CD. The Commercial Music students from the University of the West of Scotland have been working hard on producing the CD which supports the popular relaxation sessions we offer within Solas.

Connor and Robin kindly agreed to help produce the recordings using the University’s state of the art studio, under the umbrella of their own record company, Parallel Sound. Scripted by our Complementary Therapist Fiona Cumming and retired Occupational Therapist Lena Baird, the CDs will be given to patients and carers who may be needing some help to relax, taking them through a series of relaxation and visualisation exercises. The recordings are accompanied by different sounds of local nature such as the seaside at Prestwick shore or banks of River Ayr.

Hospice Complementary Therapist, Fiona Cumming said: “The finished CD is excellent and will now be distributed free of charge. Being able to offer the CD will make a real difference to our patients and their families. Our thanks go to Connor and Robin for donating their skills and talent to this projecy”.
