Mandy Yule retirement

Retirement of Chief Executive

Posted on 18 June 2019 by Katie Ronald

After five and a half years at the helm of the Ayrshire Hospice, our Chief Executive, Mandy Yule has decided to bring forward her retirement and step down from the organisation.

In her farewell message to staff Mandy said ‘I am so lucky to have had the opportunity to take forward the hospice as Chief Executive, and to contribute to the cause of specialist palliative and end of life care and services in Scotland ….. I believe that the Ayrshire Hospice’s brightest and most innovative days are ahead, and that the hospice will continue to be supported by the extremely generous individuals and communities that make up Ayrshire.’

The Hospice Board is grateful to Mandy for all she achieved for the hospice in her time as our Chief Executive and wishes her well in retirement.

As part of our organisational sustainability plan in response to a challenging financial climate, we will hold the post of Chief Executive vacant until at least April 2020, giving time to determine the most appropriate future senior management arrangements for the Ayrshire Hospice.

In the interim, members of the Senior Management Team have agreed to cover the role and functions of the Chief Executive on a shared basis.
