The Ayrshire Hospice is appealing to ladies across South Ayrshire to join the hospice Ladies Lunch Club.  The club meets on a monthly basis on the third Wednesday of the month from September to June at Western House Hotel in Ayr.

The hospice is keen to welcome new members along to the lunch club to join its current loyal supporters.  There is an annual membership fee of £10 and supporters receive a delicious two course lunch at the cost of £16 per month.

Margaret Cook, joint Chairperson of the Ladies Lunch Club said, “The club provides an ideal opportunity to enjoy a lovely two course lunch, make new friends and listen to a variety of entertaining speakers.  Come along and join us in a very informal, friendly atmosphere where you will always receive a very warm welcome.”

The ladies come from across Ayrshire including Ayr, Prestwick, Troon, Dundonald and as far as Kilmarnock and Irvine.

Lyn Bateman, Senior Fundraising Officer at the Ayrshire Hospice said, “The Ladies Lunch Club has been in existence for over 28 years and raised well over £250,000 during this period. The hard work and time given by the club committee is never taken for granted and we are extremely fortunate to have such a loyal base of supporters.  We’d love new members to join us for what is always an enjoyable afternoon.”

The next lunch will take place on Wednesday 17th January where the guest speaker will be John Adams giving a talk on stained glass.  The following session will be on Wednesday 21st February when Kaye Bowman will be talking about her role as a District Nurse.
