Go Purple

Go Purple

Posted on 14 July 2016 by Monika Reichelt

2016 will mark the fifth anniversary of our annual Go Purple day which this year will take place on Friday 7th October 2016.  It’s easy to get involved, so why not “dress-down purple”, bake a purple cake, take a purple selfie and donate or help us with one of our purple bag packs – just go purple!

Ron Swanson, Assistant Fundraising Manager said “Go Purple is a fabulous campaign where it’s fun and easy for people to get involved in their local communities. We can’t wait to celebrate this year’s 5th anniversary and invite the Ayrshire community to join with us to make Go Purple bigger and better than before!”.

Last year Go Purple raised over £18,000 thanks to the people across Ayrshire who took part. We would love it if you, your workplace or your school could take part in Go Purple this year.

We want to build as much momentum as possible and would like to invite you to post Go Purple selfies leading up to the event and on the day. You can post photos and videos on our Facebook page @AyrshireHospice, use #gopurple2016 on Twitter or email to community@ayrshirehospice.org

If you would be able to help us with bucket collections during Go Purple week we would love to hear from you – please complete the tear-off slip within this newsletter your details and we will be in touch!

You can also text donate by sending PURP07 plus £5 (or your preferred amount) to 70070 and we have Go Purple wrist bands available at a suggested donation of £1 each.  For purple fundraising ideas and support materials contact Ron on 01292 288488 or email community@ayrshirehospice.org.
