Give the gift of a lifetime- how you can help the Ayrshire Hospice after you die.

What is a legacy?

Gifts left to us in wills are called legacies. They are extremely important to us and currently help to fund the care for around one in three of our patients.

A legacy allows you to state that, after you die, a particular part of your estate be given to a person, charity or organisation. It could be a fixed sum of money, a named item such as a piece of jewellery, furniture, property or shares or it could be the remainder of your estate once all your commitments and gifts to family or friends have been attended to.

Whatever your gift, your legacy will help people with life limiting illness live well until they die, in comfort and in dignity.

Our wonderful team of 180 staff and over 500 volunteers not only take care of people’s physical needs but look after their emotional, spiritual and social needs too. We are able to provide care in a number of places including people’s own homes, hospitals and care homes as well as in our purpose built day care and in-patient units. In caring for our patients, we also support family members, close friends and carers both during a person’s illness and in bereavement.

Our vital work is filled with moments that make people smile during a time that’s difficult for everyone. It’s about making today matter. And you too can make today matter.

Please consider leaving a gift to Ayrshire Hospice in your Will to help us care for even more patients and their families across Ayrshire.  We rely on people like you choosing to remember us in your Will in order to reach every family that needs our help. A gift in your will is so important to our work - not just now, but for years to come. Watch the film below to see how your gift can help!
