Funding the care with your help The care we provide is at no cost to our patients or their families and, although NHS Ayrshire and Arran do contribute to our running costs, we have to raise over £4.8 million annually from voluntary sources. This is a huge task, but the drive and energy of our fundraising team, combined with the enthusiasm, support and generosity of the people of Ayrshire, strive to ensure that hospice care and services continue to be available, free of charge, to all. Do you want to get involved in helping the local community? Have you vowed to give something back? Do you have time to spare? Our fundraising team has a whole range of events and activities planned that you can join in, or alternatively, you can offer your support by putting your own ideas into practice. We have now completed an information booklet with a host of guidance to help you in your fundraising including advice on how to publicise your event, keeping it safe and legal, maximising your income, and an A-Z of fundraising ideas.
