About us Join our team Volunteer Driver's Assistant Help make today matter by supporting the Ayrshire Hospice as a Driver's Assistant. Volunteers play a huge part in the running of our stores and our retail chain could not function without the support they provide. We have various volunteer opportunities in our stores in our locations throughout Ayrshire. Driver's Assistants support our hospice shops by ensuring that stock is replenished within our shops by carrying out deliveries of donations from our central warehouse to each location. They also assist in the collection of donations from donor’s throughout Ayrshire and promote the work of the hospice whilst representing in the community. Many volunteers feel a sense of belonging as they have a chance to make a difference to others’ lives and be part of something more. The knowledge and skills used in all of our volunteer roles can be great for students looking to enhance their experience and CV to give them an edge in future job applications.
