Do you want to work with a dedicated team of professionals who aspire to ensure that every adult with palliative and end of life care needs and those people most important to them will receive timely and equitable access to high quality services, delivered by appropriately trained staff and volunteers? We are seeking to recruit a motivated and talented Consultant to join team of 5 Consultants including this post. This post will cover University Hospital Ayr and University Hospital Crosshouse as well as provide input to the hospice inpatient unit and community services. The post holder will be issued with an Honorary NHS contract. The Hospice is currently building a new Hospice fit for the 21st Century and developing / evolving services to meet increasing demands for care within a community setting. Our in- patient unit is currently decanted to East Ayrshire Community Hospital in Cumnock and aim is to return to our new hospice in summer 2024. You will work with the existing team for the strategic development of palliative care services across Ayrshire and Arran. This will include a significant focus on development of community based services across Ayrshire. The post holders will work closely with NHS Ayrshire and Arran and our three Health and Social Care Partnerships and will liaise with the Hospital Palliative Care team working within University Hospital Ayr and University Hospital Crosshouse.
