A new exciting and diverse role has become available within our growing Community and Living Well services.  We are looking for a caring, motivated and experienced Clinical Manager to join our Community and Living Well Team with a commitment to “making today matter” for patients and families. 


About Us 


The Ayrshire Hospice provides quality specialist palliative care for adults with life-limiting illness within Ayrshire and Arran.  We provide a wide range of services and care in people’s homes, care homes and hospitals, as well as in the hospice itself.  This is provided at no cost to our patients or their families.  Our vision is to reach and improve the lives of everyone in Ayrshire affected by life-limiting illness. 


The Role and what we are looking for 


We are looking for you to be forward thinking, dynamic and robust, excited about change and embracing organisational developments.  You will be a key part of the organisation, as the services provided will continue to grow and develop in the future. This will require you to work at a strategic level with corporate partners in both NHSAAA and Health and social care arenas. 


The successful candidate will be educated to a Masters level or equivalent with having worked at a senior level within Management and have had line management responsibility.   You will lead and support a team that is evolving to meet the needs of a changing palliative care population. 

The successful applicant will have responsibility for providing clinical, managerial and professional leadership in the running of the service and influencing the future service delivery and strategy.  The successful candidate will be accountable for the delivery and standards of care provided to patients and families ensuring safe effective person-centred care. This includes promoting a culture of compliance with Hospice policies and procedures. 

The post holder will require to demonstrate a high level of Management and Leadership skills, directing the Clinical Team to achieve departmental and organisational goals.  Ensuring that compliance is followed in line with regulatory bodies.  You will be committed to continuous learning and development yourself, your staff and the Ayrshire Hospice.   

The candidate should be aware that Ayrshire Hospice temporarily decanted in February 2022 to East Ayrshire Community Hospital, Cumnock and Lochranza Ward, Ailsa Hospital for a period of approx. 18 months to allow for build of new Hospice facilities.  This post will be working across both sites for this period.
