Fire & Water Challenge 2023

Brave the Coals and Brace the Waves!

Wednesday 21st June 2023

Celebrate the arrival of Summer with this unique challenge. Push your boundaries, challenge your perceptions and be part of this incredible, unforgettable night. You will receive expert training which will enable you to put mind over matter and show you that you are capable of anything!

Bravely take on the hot coals in the firewalk followed by a short stroll down to the waterfront to brace yourself before entering the sea for a 'cool down'.

Everyone will be required to complete a 60-minute workshop hosted by UK Firewalk before taking to the coals. This will ensure everyone completes the walk safely and confidently and there will be a short safety talk with some breath work, led by Wild Sea Women leader Vicki, before entering the sea.

On the night

Participants registration arrive 6.20pm

Firewalk workshop starts 6.30pm

Spectators should arrive for 7.15pm – just in time to witness the bravery

Firewalk begins 7.30pm

Walk to the shore for some breathing exercises at 8.00pm

Dip in the sea begins 8.15pm

What’s involved

What’s great about this challenge is there is no extensive training required or timely preparation, as long as you are over 16 years old and can walk ten paces at an average walking speed un-aided, you can do this!  You will complete a 60-minute workshop by top professionals to ensure you can complete the walk safely and confidently.  

If you only wish to take part in one element i.e. just the firewalk or just the sea dip we would still be delighted to have you as part of the evening, just let us know in advance.

What we ask of you

To secure your space we ask for a £25 (non-refundable) payment at time of booking and we'd love it if you would aim to raise an additional £100 sponsorship money in aid of the Ayrshire Hospice.  Remembering that every penny you raise you will be helping provide specialist palliative care and services to people affected by life-limiting illness across Ayrshire. Check out the Terms & Conditions of entry here.
