Elizabeth Morton is a retired local government officer who worked in the County for a substantial part of her career of over 40 years, latterly as Depute Chief Executive of East Ayrshire Council. She is a solicitor who managed and directed a wide range of support and latterly, frontline services.

She joined Ayrshire Hospice in 2016 and has served on the full Board and the Financial Governance Committee. She was appointed Vice-Chair of the Board in 2017.

Elizabeth said of her appointment to the Board and now as Vice-Chair “The hospice continues to be highly regarded and greatly valued by all our communities and it is a privilege to support the dedicated employees and volunteers, who directly or indirectly, care for Ayrshire Hospice patients and their families with great skill and enormous compassion”.
