About us Board of Trustees Elizabeth Morton Elizabeth Morton is a retired local government officer who worked in Ayrshire for a substantial part of her career of over 40 years, latterly as Depute Chief Executive of East Ayrshire Council. She is a solicitor who managed and directed a wide range of support and latterly, frontline services. She was appointed to the Ayrshire Hospice in 2016 and has served on the full Board and the Financial Governance, Clinical Governance and Appointments and Development Committees. She was appointed Depute Chair of the Board in 2017. Elizabeth said of her appointment to the Board "The hospice continues to be highly regarded and greatly valued by all our communities and it is a privilege to support the dedicated employees and volunteers, who directly or indirectly, care for Ayrshire Hospice patients and their families with such great skill and enormous compassion”. Elizabeth lives in Ayrshire with her husband and is an amateur artist, a keen gardener and enjoys holidays and eating out with friends and family. Manage Cookie Preferences
