Wellington School recently presented the Ayrshire Hospice with a cheque for an outstanding £29,667 following their year-long support of the hospice!

Throughout the year the school took on the Three Peaks Challenge, held a Christmas fair, sold Christmas cards and our Christmas CD, took a freezing cold dip, walked 23 miles in Kiltwalk Glasgow, took part in the hospice Starlight Walk and Go Purple day and lots, lots more.

Stephen McLarty, Head Boy, and Kirstie Howat, Head Girl, revealed the fantastic total to Ron Swanson, Assistant Fundraising Manager at the Ayrshire Hospice on Wednesday 26th June.

Alistair Byres, Head of S5-6 at Wellington School said “We are delighted that the whole school has come together to raise this superb amount for the Ayrshire Hospice.  We are so proud of our Senior School for their dedicated fundraising drive and thanks to all the teachers, pupils, parents and families who got behind this year’s chosen charity.”

Ron Swanson, Assistant Fundraising Manager at the Ayrshire Hospice said: “The fundraising commitment of pupils and teachers has been phenomenal and we were delighted that the 6th Year group selected Ayrshire Hospice as their chosen charity for 2018-19.
