Come and join the hospice team making today matter for patients and families across Ayrshire.  We currently have a permanent vacancy for a Shop Manager.

We are looking for a part-time Shop Manager to join our Hospice Shop in Girvan.

Working as part of a job-share post you will undertake the role of Shop Manager in conjunction with our existing Shop Manager across two days per week, operating within a four week rota.

You will have direct previous experience in a retail management or customer service focused role. Specific experience in charity shop retail is desirable.

You will have developed knowledge of and skills in retail management processes, staff management, customer service and direct sales. This will be supplemented with basic knowledge and skills in administration, marketing and financial processes including cash handling & management.

You should hold an SVQ II qualification (or equivalent) in Retail Skills.

Working knowledge and understanding of consumer trading standards legislation and regulations is desirable.

You should be proficient in a range of computer applications, particularly databases, email and word processing. Previous experience in the operation of retail Electronic Point of Sale (EPoS) systems is desirable.
