LOCATION:             Throughout Ayrshire

We are looking to expand our team of self-employed canvassers to promote our lottery throughout Ayrshire and Arran with the aim of signing up new lottery members on a door-to-door basis.  Our canvassers receive commission based on the valuable work that they do. 

Our canvasser commission rates to sign up the first 10 members within a seven day period are as follows:

  • Paying to a collector - £5.00
  • Paying by cheque or credit/debit card for 13 weeks - £6.00
  • Paying by cheque or credit/debit card for 26 weeks - £7.50
  • Paying by cheque or credit/debit card for 52 weeks - £10.00
  • Paying by Direct Debit - £15.00

If you sign up 11+ players within seven days the following commission rates will be paid for 11+ players signed up:

  • Paying to a collector - £5.00
  • Paying by cheque or credit/debit card for 13 weeks - £7.00
  • Paying by cheque or credit/debit card for 26 weeks - £10.00
  • Paying by cheque or credit/debit card for 52 weeks - £15.00
  • Paying by Direct Debit - £20.00

 If you sign up 41+ players within seven days the following commission rates will be paid for 41+ players signed up:

  • Paying to a collector - £5.00
  • Paying by cheque or credit/debit card for 13 weeks - £7.00
  • Paying by cheque or credit/debit card for 26 weeks - £10.00
  • Paying by cheque or credit/debit card for 52 weeks - £15.00
  • Paying by Direct Debit - £25.00

Knowledge of the local area is essential as well as knowledge of hospice service provision, understanding of the hospice lottery and the ability to effectively communicate this information in a coherent manner to the general public.  Excellent verbal communication skills with a high standard of presentation skills and previous experience dealing with face to face contact with customers and the development of positive customer relationships is essential.  Practical knowledge, skills and experience will normally be obtained through previous experience in a sales environment.  You will be ambitious to achieve and will not be discouraged by rejection.  You will comply with all training and implement this practice when canvassing in the Ayrshire and Arran community.  You will arrange your own transport however travel expenses can be reimbursed where receipts are provided.
