The Ayrshire Hospice provides quality specialist palliative care for adults with life-limiting illness within Ayrshire and Arran.  We provide a wide range of services and care in people’s homes, care homes and hospitals, as well as in the hospice itself.  This is provided at no cost to our patients or their families.  Our vision is to reach and improve the lives of everyone in Ayrshire affected by life-limiting illness.

We are currently looking to recruit 3 Care Assistants to join the nursing team in the In-Patient Unit (IPU). AS part of the multi-disciplinary team and under the supervision of the registered nurses you will provide high quality, safe, effective person centred care to patients and their families in the IPU.

An SVQ2 in Health/Social Care or equivalent is essential together with recent experience as a care assistant within a clinical care environment. Proven experience of delivering person centred care and an evidenced interest in palliative care are also essential. The role requires you to be highly motivated, dynamic and forward thinking.
