Sign up to this very special event and raise much needed funds for our cause, helping patients and their families throughout Ayrshire living with life limiting illness.

The registration fee covers all expenses involved in administering your place, and each walker will receive a charity t-shirt, water, fruit and snack. At the finish, you will receive a certificate and commemorative medal for your fantastic achievement! The registration fee non-refundable.

The sponsor money you raise will allow us to continue to provide specialist palliative care and services to out patients.

Terms and Conditions of Entry

  Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.

  We will issue each participant with a sponsorship form / JustGiving link, of which we anticipate they will raise sponsorship for the Ayrshire Hospice.  There is no minimum sponsorship but we hope that each participant will try to raise £100 to help us reach everyone who needs hospice care throughout Ayrshire and Arran.  However we are extremely grateful for any amount raised.  Our events team are here to support you throughout your fundraising.  Why not get in touch and see how we can help you?  Unfortunately you cannot fundraise for other charities on this walk.

  We will accept photocopied or downloaded registration forms.

  You cannot register on the night and participants must have an official sponsor form.

  The walk is not a race. No walkers are allowed to run or jog and no walker must pass the lead vehicle(s). For safety reasons no pets are allowed.

  Any photograph taken at the Shining Star Memory Walk may be used for publicity purposes.

  After the Shining Star Memory Walk we print all participants names in our local newspapers; mainly the Ayrshire Post, Kilmarnock Standard and Irvine Herald.  If you do not wish your name to be printed please tick the relevant box on your registration form.

  You are not permitted to use any sponsorship money you raise in relation to your entry in the Shining Star Memory Walk to pay for expenses.  All sponsor money should be passed directly to the Ayrshire Hospice by Monday 2nd October 2023.  If you fundraise as a group, please make sure you inform us.

  By completing my registration form I acknowledge that the Ayrshire Hospice is not liable for any accident, injury, loss or damage incurred during participation.  Any participant who has a concern about their physical condition is advised to consult their own doctor before taking part.
