Remembering with Forget-Me-Nots

The Ayrshire Hospice knows as well as anyone how difficult it is to lose a loved one, especially after experiencing a life-limiting illness. So hospice care doesn't just look after the individual with the diagnosis - our Hospice is there for their family and friends too.

We have a team of fully qualified bereavement counsellors who work tirelessly to provide an individual service to people who may be undergoing the most challenging time of their lives, both before and after someone's death.

When we lose someone we love, we are grieving not only the person, but the unique relationship we had too. We often seek an appropriate and positive way to remember them and the bond we shared.

How does it work?

The Forget-Me-Not Appeal is open to everybody, not just people whose loved one was cared for by our hospice. Our Forget-Me-Nots can pay tribute to anyone you dearly love, and sorely miss.

Our Forget-Me-Nots were lovingly handmade in Kirkoswald by Morrell's Forge Blacksmiths, making for a truly personal, positive (and pretty!) ornament. The Forget-Me-Nots are made from steel, and measure approximately 18 cm in diameter and 30 cm in length.

The Forget-Me-Nots pay a lasting and stunning tribute to someone special - all while helping the Hospice provide essential palliative care to patients and their families across Ayrshire and Arran.

For every donation of £30 - enough money to fund a bereavement counselling session - you will receive 1 of our hand-made Forget-Me-Nots.

You can pay an extra £3.50 for your flower/s to be posted to you, or you can pick them up from our Fundraising Office in Ayr town centre. Our Office's full address is 29 Miller Road, Ayr, KA7 2AX, and you can collect your Forget-Me-Nots any time between 9 am and 5 pm from Monday to Friday.

By donating towards just 1 flower, you are not only remembering your loved one, but helping to support other local families facing bereavement. To donate and receive your Forget-Me-Not flower,
