The Ayrshire Hospice Burns Supper, sponsored by the Goodrich Corporation, was held in the magnificent setting of Brig o'Doon House Hotel on Friday 25th January 2008. Chairman Jim Brodie OBE conducted the evening’s proceedings in his usual witty manner introducing speakers and entertainers. |
We had an array of speakers including Provost Winifred Sloan who said the Selkirk Grace, Drew Cochrane proposed a memorable Toast to the Imortal Memory. The Toast to the Lassies was delivered by Johnny Beattie MBE to which Nicola Sturgoen MSP and Deputy First Minister for Scotland replied. Alistair Hastings Addressed the Haggis and also gave an excellent recitation of To A Louse.
The evening was a resounding success raising the magnificent sum of £14,000.
