Spiritual and Religious Care

Spiritual care is an essential part of the Hospice service and it is provided by all team members. Religious and specialist spiritual care is provided by the Chaplain who works across the community, Day Hospice and the In-patient Unit.

Spiritual care is varied and complex and responds to individual need; therefore The Ayrshire Hospice will:

Our Chaplain is available to offer pastoral support and spiritual care to patients, families, carers, staff and volunteers. The Chaplain works closely with the multi-disciplinary team to foster hope, conserve dignity and to support people on their journey.

The Chaplain is available to listen, care, worship, celebrate and pray in complete confidence. The Hospice Quiet Room can be used for reflection.
