How We Can Help You
Fundraising is great fun and whether you raise £5 or £5,000 your support will be greatly appreciated. You will experience a fantastic feel-good factor and sense of achievement when you hand over your hard-earned cash, knowing that your efforts are helping to enhance the quality of life for our patients and their families. The fundraising team can offer support in many ways so you won't feel as if you are going it alone.
Here are a few guidelines to having a successful fundraising event
- Keep your idea simple - make it as easy for yourself as possible
- Decide what type of activity you want to hold. Think about your "target audience" eg schoolchildren might choose a sponsored event, adults perhaps a dinner dance
- Price any tickets accordingly so that people are getting value for money
- Choose a date which does not clash with holidays or other events in your area
- Enlist some friends or family to help
- Design publicity posters and put them up everywhere you can - we can help
- Send a press release to your local papers - we can help there too
- Email all your contacts telling them your plans and ask for their help
- Have fun and enjoy yourself!
